Export Configuration

The Export Config option allows you to download the complete system configuration as a single file. This is useful for creating backups, migrating your setup to another server, or for offline review.

Clicking the Export Config button will download a file named alta.conf. This file contains all your settings, including channels, receivers, and authorizers, in a JSON format. You can use this file to restore your configuration or replicate it on another Alta instance.

When to Use

Download the configuration before an update, before you move Alta to another server, or when you want to review the settings offline.

1. Open Settings → Export Config.
2. Click Export Config.
3. Save alta.conf in a safe place.

Caution

The file contains the configuration only. It does not include license.txt, the Alta binary or the recorded archive. For a full copy use Backup.
